27.11. Morning we are buying last supplies (water, Mars/Snickers bars). At 9:30 starting with fully loaded jeep. The guides bought some food on a way. We are going to Machame village through coffee and banana fields and buying a piece of goat there.
On Machame Gate we have to fill guest book. There are also two smaller groups. The path is very muddy and goes through the rain forest. It started slightly raining.
After 3 hours 45 minutes we are in Machame Camp (usually it takes 6-7 hours). We're very good aclimatized from Ethiopia and we left everyone behind. We had to wait for our guides and porters too :-). The sunset was very nice (behind the Mt.Meru). It's getting quite chilly, we're in altitude of 3000m..
At the evening a real luxury started. Firstly fresh popcorn with biscuits + tea / coffee. We were waiting for the next meal nearly 2 hours but then it was a real feast: mushroom soup, meat on fresh vegetables with potatos, ananas as desert + tea. We went to sleep around 9 p.m.
