DAY 6

Early morning woke up and across endless meadows with thousands of sheeps we came to desolate hotel at 1400 metres altitude. The last mile of the road was pista type. Also we couldnt get water there. Some spring is few metres up but these sheeps everywhere... The weather was fine.

When we reached higher parts a snow field appears. Only one part was a little bit difficult traverse across the steep snow field. The rest of the climb was a piece of cake.

On summit (2456m) there is a stone building and was beautiful view of the whole island.

Way back was fast and in a same day we went to northwestern corner of the Crete. Visit of the Formosa ruins was vaste of time (a few stone walls). We moved to Kissamos peninsula. The road changed to pista and we fallen asleep in a car.

DAY 7

Sleeping in Corsa was surprisingly comfortable. We walked across the mountain ridge to "pirat bay" - the famous beautiful area of islands, beaches, colored sea and missing cars and package turists.

The place is accessible only by foot or boat. We jumped into sea but water was rather cold. During the next part of the day we visited Agia Triada monasteries on ?? peninsula. The most interesting was steep descent to inhabited monasteries and caves. Evening we spent in Stavros village. Last Drachmas we spent for gifts. Of course we did not forget to celebrate our successful stay on Crete. The most popular drink was Retsina - table vine with admixture of pine pitch.

DAY 8

Morning last day we left our car on airport and flew back to Prague.
